Venice mixes 1920s cottages, 1970s CBS, and new gulf-front glass. The lighting and shade spec has to respect that mix — warm-dim that does not fight original plaster, motors that fit existing pockets, and a network that is not hanging off a single modem in a hot garage.

South county afternoon sun is unforgiving on west and southwest elevations. Motorized solar screens on the lanai and blackout in the primary are usually the first conversation, then lighting scenes so the house does not slam from 'all on' to dark. We program to the clock and to occupancy, not to a demo keypad in a showroom.
